McClatchy goes to the White House Correspondents' Dinner

Reporters, editors and executives of McClatchy Newspapers will attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 27th. Steven Thomma, the Senior White House Correspondent and the Government and Politics Editor for McClatchy Newspapers is the vice president this year of the White House Correspondents' Association.

The McClatchy distinguished guests at the dinner are:

Paul Altidor, the Haitian Ambassador to the U.S.;

Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.; 

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo.;

Rep. John Mica, R-Fla.; 

Mayor Kevin Johnson of Sacramento and his wife,  Michelle Rhee;

Nadeam Elshami, chief of staff to House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi;

Air Force Capt. Gabriel (Gabe) Podesta;

John Podesta, chair of the Center for American Progress and former White House Chief of Staff to Bill Clinton

Lee Miringoff and Barb Carvalho of the Marist Institute of Public Opinion, which conducts the McClatchy-Marist Poll.
