President Barack Obama called the Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh and General Manager Ozzie Newsome to congratulate them on their win against the San Franciso 49ers on Sunday.
Obama commended the Ravens on "an unbelievable year and for the steadiness the team displayed through the end," according to the White House.
He also expressed how moved he and First Lady Michelle Obama were by the story of O.J. Brigance, the team’s senior adviser to player development who suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease.
The president will welcome the team to the White House in the future.
