President Obama has come under criticism this week for nominating only white men to his Cabinet for his second term. (See John Kerry, Chuck Hagel, John Brennan, and reportedly, Jack Lew.)
The release of a photo on the White House Twitter account of Obama conferring in the Oval with an all-male staff did little to blunt the charge. (Though WH officials said there were women in the room, out of camera range.) So check out the just-released photo on the Twitter stream: Obama meeting yesterday in the Oval Office with "senior advisors" -- three of them of the female persuasion, including a prominently placed Valerie Jarrett.
Spokesman Jay Carney insisted today that women are well-represented in Obama's Cabinet, saying women serve in key policy posts -- and that "this president is commited to diversity, look at the record," he said.
