No Senate Bean Soup for this crowd....not when there's lobster and bison.
About 200 people, including President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, their famiiles, Supreme Court justices and others will gather at the Capitol after the January 21 swearing-in for lunch.
The menu, announced Wednesday, includes foods from around the nation.
The lineup:
First Course: Steamed Lobster with New England Chowder, Anthony Road Winery, Fox Run Vineyards & Newt Red Cellars, Tierce 2010 Dry Riesling, Finger Lakes, NY
Second Course: Hickory Grilled Bison with Wild Huckleberry Reduction and Red Potato Horseradish Cake, Bedell Cellars, 2009 Merlot, North Fork, Long Island
Third Course: Hudson Valley Apple Pie, Sour Cream Ice Cream, Aged Cheese and Honey, Korbel Natural, Special Inaugural Cuveìe Champagne, California
Thats a great lunch menu, who will the cook be for this special occasion. I would like to know what seasoning is used on thhe grilled bison. thanks
