The First and Second families spent Saturday morning pitching in at volunteer events in Washington: the entire family of vice president Joe Biden -- 12, including grandchildren -- helped assemble care packages for military families and first responders.
President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama joined 500 volunteers to spruce up a DC elementary school.
At the stops, all four touted service.
"We have to move back to reaching out to people," said Biden, who being Biden, couldn't resist and lobbed a bag of cotton swabs at the pool reporters.
