Beyoncé and bison -- the inaugural in music and food

Artists Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor will perform at President Obama's inauguration on Jan. 21, with Beyoncé singing the National Anthem; Clarkson performing "My Country Tis of Thee," and Taylor taking on "America the Beautiful."

The inaugural committee says Obama was involved in the selection of participants, including the musical performers.

And on the menu for the three-course inaugural luncheon at the Capitol following the ceremony: Steamed lobster with New England chowder; Anthony Road Winery, Fox Run Vineyards & Newt Red Cellars, Tierce 2010 Dry Riesling, Finger Lakes, N.Y.; Hickory grilled bison with wild huckleberry reduction and red potato horseradish cake; Bedell Cellars, 2009 Merlot, North Fork, Long Island; Hudson Valley apple pie, sour cream ice cream, aged cheese and honey; Korbel Natural, Special Inaugural Cuvée Champagne, Calif.

Luncheon guests include Obama, vice president Joe Biden, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices and congressional leaders.
