President Obama was not exactly fired-up at his campaign rally tonight in Dubuque, Iowa.
It could have had something to do with the cold weather (40s) at the outdoor park. Or because it was his third event in his third state today. Or maybe he just wanted to strike a more serious tone three days before the election.
Whatever the reason Obama was noticeably less enthusiastic in Iowa than at his event in Ohio this morning where the boisterous crowd couldn't get enough of him.
In Iowa, Obama delivered his familar stump speech, though his remarks failed to include a few of his classic lines: "I love you back" and "Don't boo! Vote!"
Still, Obama managed to attract 5,000 supporters to the rally -- nearly 3,000 more than Republican rival Mitt Romney who appeared in Dubuque a few hours earlier.
