Obama campaign raising money on "birther" T-shirts

President Obama's re-election campaign is turning the long-running controversy over the president's place of birth into a fund-raising tool.

In an e-mail, deputy campaign manager Julianna Smoot said the campaign has decided, "if the facts can't make these ridiculous smears go away, we can at least have a little fun with it."
