Snow postpones DC dinner for media, Congress

The threat of more snow hitting DC Tuesday and Wednesday – on top of several feet over the weekend – is forcing the postponement of the Washington Press Club Foundation Dinner, an annual event featuring the media and members of Congress.

The black tie dinner was scheduled for Wednesday night, with former Rep. Joe Scarborough as master of ceremonies and Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., and Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., as the featured speakers.

Foundation President Jim Kuhnhenn, an Associated Press reporter, said Tuesday that many members of Congress were unable to get into Washington.
