Given that rape is an assault upon a fellow soldier and there are all kinds of reasons - not the least of which is combat efficiency - to land on those who attack their own with jump boots, I would certainly HOPE that "handled better" is the least of it.

Sad but true, A friend who was a former soldier during the first Iraq war told me how a friend her's was ganged raped by soldiers and suffered a nervous breakdown. She also said they were more afraid of their combat buddies than the Iraq soldiers or the Ieds. Very sad
