Lets leave the junk stories in the dust bin. What does one mean by nearly as much? What is the comparable suicide rate on similar males in the population? This is just junk. We fought WWII and never had any similar stories about the returning veterans committing suicide in massive numbers so I expect this story is just junk science by junk writers all of whom are trying to increase their salaries.

This is not shocking. The troops witness traumatic events. Counseling is needed. It is not about who is weak and who is strong (emotionally). I have met too many troops who have PTSD and don't even know it. The ones that do know it, have little options for treatment. Its like the VA doesn't even care about its most precious resource... the troops.
