One by one, in small newspapers, blogs or emails, the stories emerge, and with the Internet you can find them. Here, Army Specialist Trevor Hogue, who survived an explosion in Iraq that killed his sergeant and half the men in his platoon, committed suicide at age 24. He hanged himself in the back yard of his childhood home.
His death would not be recorded by the Army as a suicide because he'd been discharged. However, his mother Donna is certain it was the war, aftermath and PSTD that did the job. [Sacramento Bee]
