Argentina: Time running out

Cristina Fernandez seems to be facing problems on all fronts. Swine flu is making dangerous inroads. People are dying, and nervous tourists are canceling flights to Argentina.

Cristina and her husband Nestor Kirchner just lost a major midterm election.

And now the economy is closing in on her.

The Kirchners have overseen the economic rebound of Argentina. But I don't sense that they enjoy a lot of goodwill among Argentines.

It appears likely to be a difficult year for Cristina.
