Fearless Felix is well known in Mexico

Felix Baumgartner, the supersonic Austrian daredevil who made headlines over the weekend with his leap from a helium-filled balloon from 128,000 feet, is well known for a stunt he did in Mexico City in 2007. He climbed to the top of the Torre Mayor, the 55-story skyscraper that is the tallest building in the country, and leaped off. His chute opened near the bottom. Thronged by onlookers, Baumgartner quickly got into a white Hummer according to this story and sped away, avoiding arrest.
