"Frivolous or delusional'

Mr. Ernest L. Dixon, no stranger to Suits & Strangers, has now promoted himself to retired admiral.

He still reports his living address, though, as 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Late Monday, Mr. Dixon lost his bid for, wait for it, $500,000,000 when U.S. District Judge James Robertson threw out a lawsuit filed against the Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles. The suit sought the money, plus punitive damages, over the motor vehicle folks' apparent unwillingness to reinstate Mr. Dixon's drivers license. Judge Robertson, after taking due note that 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is "the address of the White House," dismissed the suit as frivolous.
