The international media has been peppered with recent reports on Israeli vigilante groups hunting for Jewish women dating Arab men. Various independent groups around Israel are reportedly organizing patrols to hunt down Arab-Jewish couples. One city in central Israel, Petah Tikva, reportedly has set up a government-run program to discourage such dating.
Recently, journalist Sheera Frenkel went on patrol with the vigilantes as they searched neighborhood parks for mixed couples in Pisgat Zeev outside Jerusalem.
After writing about it for The Times of London, Sheera did a piece this morning for NPR.
"My heart hurts every time I see a Jewish girl with an Arab," David, one of the vigilantes, told Sheera. "It's extremely upsetting. I asked myself: How did we get to this situation? How did we descend to this level? It is a serious step backwards, in our eyes."

Or perhaps some writers overlook that many Arabs in Palestine are Christians?
And their ancestors were evangelized by the actual Apostles?

It's sad to think that in the XXIth century, some people in Israel still want to forbid young women from going with whoever their heart chooses. That may explain why so many young Israelis – boys and girls - leave the country as soon as they have finished the military service, and migrate to Europe or the USA for good, leaving the old and their dry hearts behind.

This piece explains it all. The conflict is not about Israels right to exist, it is not about God, it is about a bunch of bigots that want to make the land of Israel into a religious state. Sounds just like Hamas, two peas in a pod. We need to throw the lot of you into the garbage bin of history. Jews apparently learned nothing from the campaign by the Nazis against them. I will support Israel the day you put these bigots in jail where they can rant and rave without hurting other people.

I am not a Jew but I also give some weights on the fear of some Jews forbidding Israel women to marry non-Jews. In the anceint text the Almighty warned the Israel people particularly the women about raving on 'good looking' Babylonians because they will bring so much cruelty and terror to the land. second, Almighty has also,warned against the chosen people since Abraham about marrying with the heathen because these 'foreign cultures' will bring spritual prostitution with other gods...but we must also remember one of the finest heroines in the ancient scriptures (with one of the most romantic stories) was Ruth - a Moabite, a member of a heathen tribe.
I think the prohibition of th Lord is not based on race but on the love and true faith in God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...There is no other faith on Earth other than the Jews that highly value the nation of Israel more than Israelis themselves than the true Christians-no matter the race...It is a pity to deprive the Israeli women of such tender affection...

Summarizing history of civilizations, I think the Arabs are not the enemies of the Jewsn or vice versa. But any man that was supplanted with envy, animosity and blind prejudice against Judaism (or other religions in general and particularly the Christians)based on cultural and religious self-righteousness. This was one of major reasons millions of Jews wasted by the ideals of the Nazis, millions of Arabs wasted by the ideals of AlQuida and Taliban, millions of Christians wasted by the paganistic ideals of Romans; even millions of Protestants wasted by the ideals of Roman Papacy...
