Many dozens of Jews around the world were shattered earlier this year by the news that actress Lindsay Lohan and DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson had split up.
The break-up of the relationship(which may be on-again, depending on which gossip Web sites you believe) hit the Jewish community especially hard because Lohan was reported to be converting to Judaism to prove her devotion to her Jewish girlfriend.
The nasty split (if they are, indeed, broken-up) probably put that conversion on the shelf.
Now comes news that could very well make everyone forget about the lost Lohan Conversion.
The New York Daily News brings world of an important sighting: Britney Spears has been spotted wearing a Star of David around her neck.
This led to immediate speculation from The Daily News that Britney was "flip-flopping" on her religion.
There was no immediate word from the Baptist-born-and-raised, Kabbalah-curious, Hindu-flirting, Christian-leaning, star on the ultimate meaning behind her decision to wear a Star of David while out in Paris this week with her kids.
Is she telling the world that she's converting? Or is sometimes a Star of David really just a Star of David?
God, what an insult to Judaism!
Are you sure this isn't some plot by Ahmadinejad to destroy Israel from within?

Judeaism is great and genuinely peaceful and well developed religion, Read "Jewish Wisdom'). As is Buddhism (read the Avatamsaka Sutra) and Hinduism (read the Bhagavad Gita)Christianity-read Psalm 23. Sorry, no mention for islam unless you really like hostage-taking,hatred of women and beheadings..all that sort of thing.

Drew, i'm going to assume you are jewish by reading your typical racism. all things muslim are evil right? no mention of eastern european jews terrorizing innocent palestinians, stealing their land and killing them off slowly. no mention of the original middle eastern terrorists (king david hotel for example, lavon affair another). that sort of thing makes jews "genuinely peaceful" in your book i guess

The "Star of David" is really just a six-pointed star made from the joining of two triangles, giving it great symbologic potential, not only for Jews, but other faiths as well. For instance, the "Star of David" is a symbol associated with the tantric deity, Vajrayogini. Just FYI...

More importantly, it's made from the joining of two equalateral triangles, meaning all three sides are the same length. It's potential is really under-recognized.
