After a real long work day, a man can find nothing more comfortable than arriving home as soon as possible. Any extra time out of the house is a real pain.

    In Baghdad, the situation is different. The main principle of people is to arrive home safe. During the last two years and until the last explosions of August the 19th. After that day, The security procedures had changed a lot adding more difficulties to our complicated life

    In my way back home, I pass through five checkpoints. Three of them kill almost one extra hour of my day. Long lines of cars waiting to be searched. After more than 20 minutes, I could reach the checkpoint. A young soldier with a detecting device passed beside the car carrying the small device. The antennamoved and the soldier told us to go for search. When we get into the lind of the accurate searching, we were asked by a soldier 'do you have any gun?" I answered "No" and then the soldier said "ok go" and that was all. This thing happens three times a day or some time twice. The result is always loosing one or two hours and going home back so tired.

    The suffering of the checkpoint added another pain to our life that is already full with different kinds of suffering starting from corruption and not ending with the useless checkpoints.
