Two days ago I wrote a blog about blocking roads in Baghdad . And I was happy when the Iraq Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki ordered to prevent blocking roads by convoys of the officials although he excluded himself and two other presidencies from this decision. In that blog, I wondered if any official would apply Maliki's order. I hoped we would get rid of the obligatory snake and ladder game that we used to play in the roads. Blocking the roads by the officials' convoys force normal people like me to use the bystreets and spend a lot of their time looking from an exit. Some times even the exits are not opened and we find security forces blocking them which is another pain and time killing.  

Yesterday, all my dreams had gone with the wind and unfortunately I was forced to play the game snake and ladder game. Again, I found all the roads leading to my house in Karrada neighborhood were blocked by different kinds of security forces including men wearing civilian clothes. hundreds of cars stopped in very long lines and in different directions. The officials of the government were attending a funeral of Iraqi officials who passed away five days ago. They made thousands of citizens wait until the end of funeral ceremonies.

It didn’t take me so long to realize that each official has his own orders and may be his own small government. It’s the country of No LAW.
