While I was writing notes about the Shiite Friday prayers, the Imam of the prayers who is a parliament member said that the lawmakers voted for a resolution that gives each lawmaker a 600 squared property and permanent diplomatic passport for the lawmaker and his family's members.
The Imam criticized the lawmakers saying "the tradition everywhere in the world that the parliament doesn't vote for resolutions or laws that is related to the interest of its members." He also asked the presidency council to reject the law.
I don't know what our lawmakers has done to us as Iraqis so that they asks for such great interests. All I know about them is their permanent disagreement about anything that can be helpful to the simple Iraqis who pushed them us to their positions.
If we assume that the lawmaker deserve a diplomatic passports. Why the governmentet should give diplomatic passports to all his family's members?
The issue is bigger than nay blog or story. I'm really surprised. I just wanted to tell people what kind of parliament we have in Iraq.

your right, why should the law makes be granted foreign passports?
