I live in Krakow, Poland now but have traveled and seen much of Europe. Not too long ago my wife and I were in Norway for their Constitution Day.

Unlike in the US - and in Poland! - the Norwegians take their Constitution Day, essentially an Independence Day, very seriously. Almost everyone participated or was watching, even the many foreigners visiting and working. I don't know exactly why this is but they definitely feel and know what this day means for them and their country.

Some day, when Iraq is free and there is an Independence Day... Iraqis will probably also take it very, very seriously. May that day come quickly.

Praying and working to end the occupation of your country. Here's to the day when liberty, justice, peace are more than dreams and ideals; when they are values we live and practice.

Best to you and yours, Laith.
