Thanks Laura, I was reading it from l to r, didn't catch the reference in the text. Cartoons capture things so much more effectively than words.

So, just to be sure, in the second cartoon, the before is on the right, just as one would read in Arabic, yes? With the message being that before Basra al-Maliki was perceived as useless, and now he is seen as a statesman?

What do cartoons say about Sadr City? How DO people feel about what is happening there?
