Former Republican Party of Florida chairman Al Cardenas -- a big Mitt Romney fan -- says you "couldn't script a better person" than John McCain's pick for veep, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
"She's the governor of a western state, a young woman, a professional and a mother of 5 who took on corruption," he said. "She'll be tough to beat -- you can't accomplish more than she has at a young age."
As for her inexperience, he likened her to a "rookie quarterback in the NFL.
"Let's hope she turns out to be like Dan Marino," the Miami Dolphins star quarterback, he said, "If she's able to able to handle the intensity, the bright lights, it'll be seen as the most brilliant political move."
If not? "We'll find out quick enough," he said. "We'll get a good sense this coming week."
Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl.

Becoming governor of any state is a great accomplishment. But if a Palin supporter compares her to an NFL quarterback, he should remember that Marino never won a Superbowl.

Sometimes the truth hurts... but mccain is desperate... pandering? he has just insulted all american women... him picking a female vp is pure drama and he is trying to key in on the hillary clintons voters... but that won't be enough to get him into the the white house. mccain is old and out of touch... heck, even my dog knows how to use a computer and cell phone.... mccain thinks he will win just because he picked a female vp... what a hypocrite.. he accuses obama of being a novice and trying to win an election by pandering to the irag war and a celebrity... but now he picks a female beauty pageant winner "palin's" as vp just to try to win an election (a female major novice and under investigation for firing her family members mate)? I am a republican, but I am voting democratic... i sent money to mmcain and he wasted my hard earned money running nonsense commercials...i am tired of this crap.. i am voting obama. at least he keeps it real.
