Maybe Barack Obama saw the Republican National Committee video released today entitled "Barack Obama's Gas Tax Hypocrisy." While visiting a family farm in Union Mills, Ind., the notion of suspending the federal gas tax for the summer came up, as did why Obama opposes the idea while rival Hillary Clinton and Republican John McCain have versions of such a plan. Then Obama volunteered to the owners and their neighbors gathered around a picnic table that "I actually voted for a version of this" while in the Illinois state legislature several years ago. But Obama didn't see that as hypocrisy; instead, he said, he learned from the experience. In Illinois, he said, "There was no way to tell" whether the tax relief was passed on to consumers or whether prices went up as a result.

Unlike his opponents Obama learns from mistakes. You forgot to mention in your reporting that that gas tax in Illinois cost the infrastruction a lot bucks which were then not available for repair and building.
He called it like it is. A ploy by Clinton and McCain to get the attention and good marks from the voters when in reality it is just a dumb stunt. McCain says something to the effect "Well, maybe it can save some parents money to buy a school book for their children in the Fall." Give me a break. That may be so but let me tell you parents have much greater financial problems. Like buying milk and paying the dentist.

There's nothing wrong with admitting a mistake or making a change for the better. Thus, I don't see a negative to this article.

Just a few statements or comments that I think need to be addressed and answered. First one why is everyone including Obama keeps calling himself African American when his true Race is Malado...It exists on employment applications and many other legal documents...Just speak the truth......
Second were are the political debates this election??????????? What am I supposed to make an uneducated vote for a politician I no nothing about. Sick of TV stations affiliated with a political party trying to inform the American people what these crap politicians stand for instead of doing it themselves!!!!!
