Hillary Clinton seems poised to win the Indiana primary Tuesday, but a new Suffolk University poll found a reason for the eventual Democratic nominee to worry--a lot of Democrats are thinking of voting Republican this fall.
The survey, conducted Saturday and Sunday, found Clinton leading Illinois Sen. Barack Obama by 6 percentage points in Indiana.
But it also found that 38 percent of the likely Democratic voters -- which also includes Republicans and independents--would back presumptive GOP nominee John McCain if their Democratic favorite loses that party's nomination.
Another finding: Forty-four percent of Indiana Democratic Primary voters said that, if their pick did not get the nomination, they would stick with the Democrat in the fall. Six percent said they would choose indpendent Ralph Nader, while 11 percenet were undecided.
