Here's a different way to assess the impact of race in the North Carolina presidential primary race.
The Elon University poll taken earlier this month asked people if they would rather vote for a black or white candidate. The overwhelming number--90.8 percent -said race made no difference. Just 1.8 percent said they'd rather vote for a black while 6.9 percent said they'd rather vote for a white.
Elon also asked the question a different way. Do you know people that will not vote for a presidential candidate who is black? Some 53.8 percent said yes.
The survey also asked the same question about women and young candidates. The results:

We wanna paint Obama to be 100% black. When it took a white girl from Kansas and a black man from Kenya to make this child, you people wanna paint him all black. I do believe that he was raised by his white mother and his white grandparents. Oh yeah, that's right, your are what your father is. Even if you have a black mother and a white father, hmm, something still seems wrong you're still black. Who ever came up with this concept or theory needs to study science a little bit closer. Life sucks. No matter what,if you have dark skin you're still considered black or African, according to the well you know who you are. But, remember the same hands that created you created OBAMA

This shouldn't be important. People must become a little smarter when voting. Just remember 4 years ago we voted the wrong president in and look what it got us. Now we have the opportunity to vote the best person in office that will lead our country. The best person to lead our country should not be decided on the color of their skin but the content of their character. President Kennedy.

I agree, we need to look at these candidates closely and their character. If we judge on character we definately will make the right choice instead of regreting it later.
