The Chinese candidates will probably try to sell the mineral rights to the island if they get the job. The next step will be open a factory, see what rare wildlife they can poach, etc.

That island has been and always will be the territory of China. All these seperatists claiming it is Australian will never be allowed to harm the motherland. I am glad it is being claimed for the glory of the Chinese motherland. Zheng He must have sailded that area and that makes it Chinese territory. Long live Chairman Mao. Wan Sui! Wan Wan Sui.
