Macau is as close as it gets to a "mob" town in China. You didn't mention that a couple of weeks ago they also barred a South China Morning Post reporter from entering the SAR. This is getting to be a pattern. I think the Macau authorities are sensing trouble with the economy tanking and the people getting restless. Also, the mainland authorities are no less skeptical of Macau that they've started barring Mainland tourists from entering Macau for fear of them blowing all of their savings at the casinos.
