Today's Baghdad is a labyrinth of blast walls and checkpoints. Few buildings have been spared the scars of battle. The huge influx of imported cars - combined with the bottlenecks at security checkpoints - means traffic is slowed to a halt in many parts of this war-ravaged capital.
Perhaps nostalgic for the order, if not the politics, of a different era, Iraqis are forwarding a popular chain email that shows snapshots of Baghdad in the 1960s. Even if you're familiar with Baghdad streets and squares only through TV footage and newspaper photos, I think you'll find these images remarkable.
I have no idea who the photographer is or anything else about the origins of these photos, but my friend Mohammed sent them to me today and we spent a few minutes looking at the pictures and silently absorbing how far from any standard of normal this city is now. In the decade captured by the photos - the 1960s - the Hashemite monarchy was newly overthrown, there were two military coups and then the advent of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in 1968.
Al Shuhada Bridge
Abu Nawas Street along the Tigris River
Tahrir Square
Souq al Safafeer (antiques and copper market)
If it weren't for Bush things would still resemble this today. You should put some pictures from the travel brochures from the late 80's. I was in Baghdad on Business regularly in the 80's and I considered it to be one of the nicest cities in the Gulf. We ruined that country.

Its not Just Bush, it's we Americans as a whole. We think we are superior and has the best of everything, but it's only because we are controlled thinkers. And hardly ever travel to other parts of the world, other than on Cruise Ships. We are so dumb!!!!!.

What a beautiful city it was! And so obviously well laid out and clean. Then the dirty American invaders came...
Utter disgust is what I feel about the genocide committed upon the innocent ocuntry of Iraq by the shameless Neo-Fascist American invaders.
America must put on sackcloth and ashes in shame over what America has done to Iraq.

If it adds value to your resume and to you as a potential candidate, then go for it. Just know that you're putting yourself out there and anything on your site is fair game for employers.
Controlling your own narrative is another plus. If potential employers can click a link rather than googling you, you may be able to guide them better.

department about this situation several years ago, and I asked if, in the event that I had $0.00 in my PayPal account and I did a signature based transaction on my PayPal debit card and the PayPal plus credit card was used as a backup funding source, would I receive both 1.5% cash back on the debit card AND the PayPal plus credit card reward points. They answered in the affirmative, so I proceeded to do all of my daily expenses like this. It is effectively 2.75% cashback unlimited.

Yeah, I'd say the assessment of Ed Brubaker as someone who's risen from fanboyism very well is spot on. I mean, come on, bringing back Bucky? Making him a bad guy? Then making him Captain America? In the hands of a lesser talent, that would have been a dull and retarded retread of Cap history that would be reverted as soon as possible with some clone/life model decoy hand wave.
Other writers do this, and have been doing this, for years. It's not only limited to comics, either. Philip Jose Farmer's Wold Newton fictional biography stuff was an effective use of a "Oh man wouldn't it be cool IF" scenario.

I am always reusing ideas, sketches, placements. you writing about this, because it is the truth that people are known to generalize about a situation . Many people do generalize things to make sense of them. Older people always tell stories of.

I don`t know how this happened. At one time, we have poor Emirates countries and in 20-30 years it turns to marvelous cities.
